I Come From Heaven Delle Aivane Expo Results
Many of you will be wondering why all of our dogs are often at the show, winning titles in many foreign countries .......... but not our Google (Google is her home name): we entered her just in 2 shows throughout her life.
The answer is simple: Google does not like traveling, does not like being in the midst of confusion and, most of all, she really totally hates shows, seems a torture for her.
She is evidently uncomfortable, walks her head as if to say DO I REALLY HAVE TO ??
She does not eat until we come back home, it is always tense ... in short: it is clear that she’s living a situation of great physical and psychological discomfort.
We tried to introduce her at shows, as we tried with all our dogs, and when we saw that she did not like it, we decided to respect her discomfort and we decided not to insist even if someone of you can think: "Oh, but if you keep on showing her, you'll see that sooner or later she will get used to it!!”
We don’t think so.
For us it is a great pain to see her so unhappy, and forcing her, it would be a real maltreatment.
We already see in every show enough TOO MANY sad dogs in the rings, strangled, pulled for the collar, dragged......: we DO NOT live for cups, rosettas and prizes.
Google will be always our beautiful "Goo", even without championships or medals or cups or rosettas.
Showing must be a sort of game, a different way to play with our dogs, and if this became suffering, well, this is not good for both parts.
Google is absolutely a wonderful Leo, cheerful, playful, beautiful and full of life, a beautiful character, always full of joy, and is also healthy, sweet..........: she has all the features to go to the shows, like her sister mother and her father did and do still today........ but she is not happy because she does not like it.
I don't want a sad dog.
And that's ok if she does not like showing! For me it’s OK ! No problems at all !!I
f I have to choose between "championships" or "dog welness", I have no doubt what to choose.
It’s a question of LOVE and RESPECT
